Who is she?
She was born in Santa Monica (California) on the 4th of july, 1910.
She was an actress. She had her first contract at Universal Studios when she was 22 (1932).
After a while she switched and had a contract with 20th Century Fox. She acted in a several cinema movies with other very wellknown people. After a break between 1946 and 1975 she returned with acting in tv movies. In 1997 she made a huge comeback at the age of 97, in the movie Titanic.
She starred as a 101-year-old woman who survived the Titanic disaster. After acting in the Titanic, she acted at two other films, Land of Plenty and The Million Dollar Hotel. Unfortunately, Gloria passed away in September 2010 at the age of 100 by the consequenses of lungcancer.

Why is she cool?
In her role in the Titanic as 101-year old survior of the disaster she earned a Oscar nomination. Because of this, she was the oldest actress ever who was nominated for an oscar. All her life she did things she like, and where she was good at.
